I am so sick! I feel like someone in our house has been sick since Tegan started daycare in August! There have been a few pockets of wellness here and there but for the most part we have been sick. It's to be expected I know but man!! My current cold is killer - the sinus pressure is intense and the cough is just as bad. I hope it passes soon! Ok I'm done with my rant. Thanks for listening!!

Today I put all of the baby bottles up. My big girl drinks out of a sippy cup now. I shed a couple if tears over this but I'll move on!

Today was very productive. Grocery shopping, cooking, laundry, etc. To top it off, we spent our Saturday night going through our files. Try not to be too envious of our exciting night! I vow to stay on top of our paperwork in 2013 so we don't have such a mess come tax time next year. :) Hold me to that.

I have multiple photos to post today because I simply can't cut ANY of these!!  I had a blast doing a maternity shoot for some friends today at the Dallas Arboretum.  I love how these turned out and I hope they will too!

Phillip and I went on a date tonight for the first time in a long time. We ate dinner at Penne Pomodoro and then drove around downtown afterwards. I love seeing cities at night and I love being driven around so I thought it was a wonderful date. We saw this sculpture as we were driving and I had to stop and take a picture. I have a thing for red art lately.

We took T to the doctor today for her one year checkup. Turns out she's pretty tiny for her age and by tiny I mean skinny. Not really a shocker. So we are on a mission to fatten this baby up with milk, cheese, and Greek yogurt. Other than having a little cold she's doing just fine!

Today is Tegan's Birthday.  This photo is from her last "official" pink piggy session, though I'm sure I'll take one here and there for fun.  All her festivities have been so much fun!  And now that the house is quite, squeeker is in bed, it's hitting me that my baby isn't a baby anymore.  She's a sweet little girl (who is also getting quite good at throwing tantrums).  I wish I could just stop time and kiss her little cheeks forever!

Dear Tegan,

You have grown so much in this first year!  You are such a fun little girl with spirit.  You love to climb things and your favorite food is sweet potatoes.  You love to face outward while I carry you around so you can see everything.  I'm so glad you are in my life. You bring me and your Daddy so much Joy.

My wonderful parents are taking care of me this weekend. Here they are mending my favorite towels and joking that they are sweat shop workers. It's taking me a long time to get over being sick and my energy levels are very low so having them here is wonderful!

Tegan is turning one on Tuesday.  I really can't believe it!!  We made it through the first year - whooooo hooooo!  We had her birthday party today and it was wonderful to have our friends and family come and celebrate with us.

I'm trying something new this year. It's an idea from Pinterest so I can't take the credit. Every day I'm writing down something that happened that day. It can be anything - small or big. The point is to continue it over years so that you can look back and see what you were doing last year on this day or 5 or 10 years ago in this day. I think it's a fun idea and I'm giving it a try!
